Hey y’all! I’m Derek

I’m a West Texas raised boy who grew up to love emo more than country— it was never a phase Mom! You can always find me in the gym or on the mats. I raise two young’ns, boy and girl, who are the reason I am still breathing and building this business. I have fostered a decade of expertise in emergency medicine as a Paramedic and instructor. I graduated high school to step into bunker gear, and for three years I served as a Firefighter/Paramedic before stepping into critical care roles.

I have been active in my fitness journey for 15 years. Overcoming childhood obesity and finding athleticism and a catalyst for better mental health has led to supplement partnership and a passion for health. My extensive time in medicine, navigating the unexpected change of single parenting, and my own struggles of addiction recovery have created a never ending desire to advocate for better health practices. Don’t get me twisted. I believe in helping anyone with a gift to share. You don’t need to be a doctor to ask for my help!

Writing has been my quiet love for years. There is a great power in the gift of language. Those who use it must do so with great responsibility (I’m also a nerd if you caught my reference).

This summary of my life establishes my reasons for forging this company. If I can help just one person have their passions shared, I will have succeeded. My life’s struggles have insisted upon a willpower, a persistent perseverance, that is as strong as Iron. In those struggles, I have witnessed the beauty of life, love, and the mercy of a gentle God. Those blessings have flown from his words and into my life, always giving me a stepping stone to make it one more day.
